JD 318 Time delay module

There's "relays" in the time delay module, plus some diodes and a capacitor or two.

I've repaired a number of them with issues ranging from cracked solder joints to a fried diode.

What problem are you having?

Do you have access to a factory service manual which will have a flow chart of tests to be sure the problem is in the module vs. the seat or PTO switch(s)?

Actually, the circuit that engages the starter solenoid is all mechanical switches, no relays or solid-state components.

The relays are for the ignition system OPS "kill" delay".

Are you getting NO power to the solenoid coil, or reduced power that won't engage it?

If low power, DEERE came up with a "starting Improvement Kit" to solve that issue, basically a little "ice cube relay" and a simple harness.

Can be bought from DEERE or made up cheaper from simple parts.

Thanks Bob. I do have the service manual and I have found the problem. The ignition switch does not always have continuity through it when going to the start position. New switch fixed it.
