Gravely 4 wheel drive

Been thinking of building a hinged four wheel drive out of two Gravely 8000 series transmissions.
I am wondering if I can face the trans to each other and use the ptos to transfer power to the other.
I could use the pto clutch to kick in four wheeldrive.
I would like to put a Kubota or a Yammar diesel out in front.
Can the ring gear be flopped in these to reverse the direction?
Been years since I have had one of these apart

I watched his videos a couple of years ago. If you have a couple of scrap machines and some good fabricating skills you should be able to pull it off. The one I pulled up is when he goes into the woods with it.
