Can anybody tell me the part number for the electric start flywheel on a Kohler K141 (6.25hp) engine?? In my case, the engine was made in 1964, but I am guessing that any year K141 with electric start would be the same. ---- John
 
there was a guy on another forum that has been advertising an NOS elec start flywheel for a K181 which I THINK would be the same. price was like either $60 or 80, can't remember which. not sure if YT allows us to list things found on "other forums" or not.
 
I have a good K181 engine, that I could rob the flywheel and starter off of. I have not been able to prove one way, or the other, if it will work on a K141. I have read rumors, that the K181 & K161 flywheels "Might" interchange with the K141 flywheel. I thought maybe if I could get the K141 flywheel part number, I could just compare them and not have to pull the engines apart. I have the part number for the electric start K181 flywheel, but can t find the PN for a K141. ----- John
 
According to my microfiche card for k141 eng the ring gear flywheel is pn A-234598,you might want to try ebay or jacks small eng for same.
 
Thanks for the info Joe. Using that part number in a search, it brought up a K181 parts list on Jack s engine site. Although NLA, it showed the A234598 flywheel as a replacement. The A234598 number brought up 0 results on e-bay. At least I now have a part number to work with. ----- John
 
If the pn for ring gear flywheel is the same for a K181 search kohler k181 flywheel on ebay,several listed,there was also a bolt on belt pulley that would probably fit your existing flywheel(recoil/rope start)for use with a belt drive s/g electric start which was the norm for the K series eng in that era.
