Hi if you have seen my other post I just bought my first old tractor and I am new to this, while I was going over everything and trying to put together. My belt tensioner on my deck was not moving and I busted it trying to get it free so I need the arm that the spring hooks to on my belt tensioner, there are numbers stamped on it they are 269011. Any help finding one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks don

http://www.tractordata.com/lawn-tractors/001/4/0/1405-ford-100.html that tractor is made by jacobson look up their model year and see which one is the same as your ford 100 and
you have more places to look for your tension arm, seems like a piece that could be welded back together and be reused

hi,a couple guys I talked to said heating it up makes it brittle, but I am having it welded in the morning I just would like to have one in case it does break. We are going to weld a washer on each side of it to help reinforce it. Hopefully it will work. Thanks for the info

Well, you might want to talk to a couple of different guys before taking metallurgical advice from those 2. Heating ferrous metals and allowing them to slowly cool tends to soften them if there's any temper to them. Heating and quenching in liquid makes them brittle, for lack of a better word, which is what I think they were thinking.

Another point of view: That part looks simple enough a good welder could duplicate it. You can probably find a bushing to go into it at McMaster-Carr or on Amazon, or Ebay.

Also, there was usually a practically identical Jacobsen mower, so you could also look for one on Ebay. Back when I was fixing up my Minneapolis Moline by Jacobsen there used to be people parting those out all the time.

Future projects: I have 5 Fords (Jake built), 4 Jakes, one MM and one White. One Jake and the MM are running. My '71 Ford that I bought new came back to me from my son when he started mowing with an NAA and 6' Woods finish mower. These are waiting for me to get to work.
I keep watching various sales sites and going to tractor shows. I went to Wauseon, Ohio this year and did not see any of the above on display.
