kohler K301s fuel pump

Fuel pump is not working on otherwise good running K301s engine. I see a wide price range for fuel pumps on ebay and wonder if the
$30. fuel pumps are any good.

In my experience, they last about a year. I now get genuine Kohler parts from my local Napa.

eBay clones are hit and miss.. You may get one that will last a life time and then the next one will not last a year..

With a genuine Kohler 4755910S fuel pump go for around $100. Have you considered installing a universal Electric Fuel pump? You can find them all over the place for around $10 and up.

Jegs offers a good one for for lawn tractors for just $14.. Search for part # [b:b10985a987]035-F4027[/b:b10985a987] .

pat's small engines has several new versions of the k301 pump for around. the kits for rebuilding are no longer available. the stens is 35.00. aftermarket, 43.00, & kohler is 94.00. I've had a stens on my gravely foe 4 years now with no problems.

Got one off the net for $24.95, free shipping. Looks better than the original and been running fine for the last month of mowing.

if you get one that is sold be Rotary, it is the same pump as the one Kohler sells, same casting number on the pump, same everything, they are about 45.00 compared to the Kohler one for over a 100.00
