I was just given one. I believe it is a two stroke. Would like to know the Gas/oil mix. Who made these. any other info?

In my humble opinion. Use hi-test gas ethinol free if you can find it. Never use a 50:1 or even 40:1 mix in any of my stuff. I use a 36:1 mix. That is a little "one gallon " bottle with only 3/4 gal. Of gas. It is much easier on your eng8ne and will only make a tiny bit of a puff of smoke till it gets a little warmth to it. After that it is perfect. The synthetic oils are incredible. Really old saws ran 16:1 mixes beleave it or not. When you are done running it, dump out the gas, start it up, and run till carb is,dry.

thank you...i have an old mccouloch chain saw and i mix it at 25 to 1. i see little tubes of synthetic oil supposedly for a gallon but have been affraid to try a leaner mix. was hopping someone might know the right mix for this engine.

What Mc Culloch saws do you have. I have a pretty good size collection. Love those saws and go from the 2.2 toys, miny mac 35s, 35s, 15, 555, I-30 605 610 650 10/10 740 and on and on. I run all of mine with that 36:1 mix I gave you. Eagle safety cans if you dig around at flea markets, now and then I find a 3/4 gallon can. Just perfect size. Car show flea markets too. All of my small engines, lawn and garden tractors, weed wackers, chainsaws, etc. get hi-test mix.

Oh forgot. Go on line and look up Chainsaw collectors corner. It is out of Canada. TONS of information. Go to the manufacturers and look up what ever saw floats your boat. All kinds of information.
