Bolens Ignition Coil

Hello all, I'm new here and new to forums so I hope you'll forgive any ignorance I may display? I'm looking for an ignition coil part #610906. I've run into roadblocks that this part is. I longer available and I've found some available on eBay for almost $400. Does anyone have a source for this part that is reasonably priced? Thanks in advance.

Is that a battery or mag type ignition system??? If it is a battery type ignition system most any automotive coil can be made to work as long as you have the correct one for what the voltage is

im not certain? I believe it's housed under a square type housing? It's at the shop now so I can't even look at it. I'm just going off the information I was given by the mechanic.

Does your Bolens have a Tecumseh OH, H, HH or VH series engine with a magneto?

Search for [b:5b6e4c7b9d]Tecumseh H100 HH120 Solid State Ignition Magneto Coil 610906[/b:5b6e4c7b9d]. You will be hard pressed to find a new one. However you can find them on Ebay for around $150 - $250 for a good used one.

Make your own or buy from someone.

There are articles "out there" that tell you how.
Good luck

Hi Jason, per your PN that is for a Tecumseh SSI (solid state ignition) don't buy a used on off e bay unless it less than $100.00 as they are over 40 yrs old as post talk to Dale Covert he can provide you with brand new aftermarket system for approx $150.00 and it works I have one installed in one of my engines.
