bachtold mower blade

Any idea where one can get a brush cutting blade for a Bachtold, Whipper model? It measures 3"x 1/4" x 24" with a 1 3/8" hole?

You are going to need to find a good lawnmower supply store. They are not around every corner so a good mower repair shop would be your second choice. They should be able to match up something. There are hundreds of blades. No kidding. Take the blade with you. I have modified several blades on my mowers time to time. The blades for a 42 inch deck and cut them down for a 38 inch deck. Make the cuts dead square and use one of those little wobble balancers to check after you cut. All four spare blades came out perfect!

Check with DR (field & Brush mower). Some of their blades are interchangeable.

Boy is that true, there are literally hundreds of different blades. I go to local Coast-to-Coast store here in Missouri, and they have a rack 6' tall and probably 30' long, with blades hung all over, literally hundreds. If someone told me to design a new different blade, I could not do it. Me, I'd just go try to match up with one of those existing blades.
