Can anyone tell me how much oil put in one of these?

There should be a oil line in it which is how high you fill it. It may or may not say oil level but either way you should see a line which is how high you fill it

Around the bottom is a level line. Maybe a 1/2 inch high. Just plane 30wt oil. Some manuals say 10-30wt. Should have "oil level" stamped into the metal. You working on an old model "L" machine? Go 9n the net and find the Gravely tractor club of America. You can dig around in this section and find every manual and service book you could ever need. I hope this links correctly. GO DIGGING!!

OK the link works. Yea! Find walk behind machine and there are a whole bunch of manuals for different years. Down load the PDF file to your smart phone and you now have it in your pocket. Have fun.

PS... In a nice clean bucket with some kero or some other cleaner in it. Wash the top "Element" out really good. Slosh it up and down several times. Bet a lot of crap will come out of it. Do this outside with no ignition sorce around. Manual will tell you the same thing.
