I previously got help on my 1970's JD 300, so I hope you guys can do it again. I have a 3 blade mower deck, it's about 46"-48". I can't find the model # tag, just the serial#. I'm going to need this so I can get bearings. Can anyone help? TIA!

You are nearly there! It's a model #48 (46" cut).

You can view the parts catalog for FREE and print pages as needed at the link below. If original, it's PC1069, if a later, replacement deck, it's PC2358.

Enter the model # in the "Model Search" box, or click on "Catalog Search", then enter the catalog number.

Spindle bearings are DEERE #JD9296, (2 used per spindle), or industry standard bearing # 204RR6.

Jeepers, don't go to JD with a model no. for bearings unless you like to pay 6X the
money!!!!! Remove the bearing and take it to a local bearing shop to match.Same
bearing!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the contrary, oldsarge, Mother Deere isn't typically too unreasonable with her bearings.

The part number in question here, JD9296, is some $8.00 at the dealership, lowest priced similar bearing I found on ebay free shipping was $4.90, and I highly doubt any local bearing house is gonna be even that low.
