Honda Dip Sticks - Hard to Read - Solution -

I find that the Dip Sticks on the three pieces of Honda power equipment that I have are hard to read.
The synthetic oils are clear and thin at room temperature.

A trick I learned recently is to invert the dip stick immediately after removing it from the engine.
The oil forms a "blob" that slowly moves down the add-full section of the stick.
This makes it very easy to see the level.

Hope this helps someone else!

Neat trick. Will have to try that on some of my machines. Different engines, but would like to try it.

Most of the dipsticks on our engines have small holes drilled in them, that makes it easy to see how high the oil is. You could drill some very small hole in it.
