JD 175 Hydro Drivetrain Problem

I have had a 175 Hydro for the past few months, so I'm still learning about it. I was driving today and started to hear a banging sound that I could feel in the floorboard. A moment later the tractor stopped driving. The engine continues to run smoothly, and to move the tractor I have to use the freewheeling lever, but when I move the shifter the tractor just ignores it. I'm going to check the rear drive keys and the drive belt when I can get the tractor up- while I have things apart, is there anything else I should look for? Thanks!

(quoted from post at 09:29:44 07/03/17) Sounds like the drive belt may need to be replaced.
Thanks- I had a sneaking suspicion that it was the belt, though many had said the key was their problem, the lead-in symptoms did not sound like the keys. The belt does make sense to me. Is is the belt known for taking out any other parts when it goes, or is it usually a single-part fix?
