A neighbor asked me to troubleshoot her Husqvarna YTH22V46 riding mower. She said it started fine but the engine would die as soon as she engaged the blades. When I first went to check it out it started up fine and the engine kept running when engaging the blades. The next day she called and said it happened again. I went over and started the engine, and sure enough, as soon as I let up on the clutch to engage the blades the engine died immediately. I tried a few more times. Sometimes the blades engaged without the engine dying, and other times the engine died and caught again depending on how far I pushed on the clutch pedal. Maybe an intermittent safety switch? Thoughts?
