FORD GT95 PARTS

Sadly, I need new bevel gears for the gear box on the mower deck of my GT95. For being over 20 years old, this tractor has very low hours on it, is clean, and in excellent shape ! I love the tractor, but it has proven to be very difficult to find parts for it, so I am frustrated. My dad wants me to get a new tractor. NEVER !! It's such a nice tractor, but how can I repair it without parts ?!!

Ideally, I'd like to find the bevel gears only and just rebuild the gear box. If not, I would also buy a whole gear box if I could find it somewhere ! Can anyone point me in the right direction ??

Thank you,

You to go to gttalk.com and join that page.
Post this on the Ford page. Bet you will
just what you need. I got part for my 1966
Ford 80 deck from there. Great bunch of guys
to chat with too.

Or Joe's outdoor power in Michigan. Also Ford didn't build that tractor, find out who did and you may increase the chances of finding your parts, but the color might be wrong. I know some of the older ones
were built by Jacobson, but I don't know if/when they stopped. Heck I'm not even sure Jacobson is still making turfgrass equipment and they used to be pretty big.

yerkes in downingtown,pa. 147 gallagherville rd. 610-518-3433 is the go to in our area used or new he has a barn and out buildings stuffed with parts and about 2 acres of parts

Hi Farmer John !

Good advice and I am onto something, but don't have the parts in my hands yet.

Messicks has the gears for a 48" deck that fits a GT95, but they don't have them for the 60" deck, which is what I have :( They thought they would get them from New Holland, but New Holland is not making them any more.

I put a call in to Bill Yerkes that you also suggested in Downingtown. He was a very nice guy and is now searching for them. I'm waiting to hear back....

That tractor and mower were built by Shibaura.I heard that after New Holland went with LS, Shibaura ceased shipping parts to the US.

Does that mean there is no way possible to purchase the parts new from anyone ? If that is the case, don't I still have a decent chance at finding them used ? It's only from the early 1990's (not very old yet) and you'd think there would be some gear boxes laying around somewhere; at least in a junk yard. That is what I am hoping to find from Yerkes in Downingtown. Considering he is in Eastern, Pennsylvania, he is in the Messick's region where surely a lot of Ford/New Holland garden tractors were sold back in the 1990's.
