MF/Snapper 1650 Circuit Breaker

The circuit breaker on my MF1650 was replaced by a fuse before I got the tractor. I discovered this when everything quit. The fuse and fuse holder were destroyed, so I need to know what amperage fuse or circuit breaker is required. The MF number is 277-424-M!, but I can't identify the proper amperage from the part number. Help!

Just do a good wire up job with a new fuse holder from NAPA or autozone etc. You want the BIG one for the big plug in type not the mini fuses. Those breakers are for the idiot weekend drivers.

I think it was a 25 amp auto reset breaker originally, same as JDs of the same vintage. If you want to go back to a breaker, and I would, source one from JD or a used parts dealer. Ebay probably has some.

The auto reset is nice if a headlight/tailight/worklight wire gets cut/grounded.
