Sears LT4000 All wheel steering, Noma model 536.255880 - HEL

VERY much appreciated if someone here can help:

I have a Sears Craftsman II, LT4000, All Wheel Steer lawn tractor, believed to be a `91 or `92.

The tractor is model no. 536.255880 and has the original B&S 14 HP VG motor.

After lots of searching, I have virtually come up with nothing regarding this model.

So, if there is anyone out there in tractorland, that would be able to provide me any information for a company, web link, or contact phone number, that may help me locate replacement parts (RW steering), and an owners manual for this great machine, I'd consider the gesture a personal favor. Help `cause I'd like to save this machine.

Regards,
Dave Gagnon

I have one of these that I bought new from Sears in 1992. Mine is silver and has a 14 hp B&S Vanguard engine. The model number on mine is 536.255880.

If you will tell me what software you have, or in which format you prefer, I can send you a copy of the appropriate pages from the repair parts manual. I just finished an extensive repair and refit for this summer's mowing on my eight-year old machine.

Dave,
Noma was bought out by Murray, which was bought out by Briggs and Stratton. GO to the link Joe gave you, then you can go to any Briggs and Stratton dealer, and if it still available, they can get it for you, just give them the part numbers. Now the downside, Briggs is not supporting many parts from the time they bought Murray out and before. So it is a 50-50 chance if they still have new parts. There used to be a lawn mower salvage yard in PA, cannot remember the name or where it was, have not heard much about them in recent years.

If you can't fix it. Thats a darn good engine on it and could be fairly easy to transplant over to another tractor.

joe csuti, JT, and Boyd in Mn...thank you guys for your input regarding my dead Craftsman mower. In the end, I decided to scrap the chassis and save the engine.

It's irritating when OP'ers don't reply to their own inquiries.

Sorry it took me 9 years to thank you for the help. Time flies when you're having fun.
