I have a jd 318 which I had replaced the onan engine with a kohler,this was a conversion kit I installed four years ago and now it will not start the battery is new,the solenoid and starter were bench tested and work,the ignition switch is new and all the safety switches test good. but when you turn the switch to start nothing happens. any ideas?

Are the battery cables good. Have a good ground.
