Craftsman Pro series quick change blades

I bought a Craftsman 42 inch pro series mower a couple years ago. Had the "quick change" blades. Tis year was time to change blades. Had to pull mower deck out to figure it out. Took several hours to change blades instead of about 10 minutes with old type. Prom is that when I put it back together, being carefull to clean dirt out of things, and ran it the covers vell off of the retaining mechanism. One went into the bagger the other on the lawn. There are 2 plastic clips that keep the cover on. Has anyone else had this issue? I believe it is built by Huscavarna. I tried changing it over to regular blades but clearance to deck was wrong. This does not look like a good set up at all

I work for a Husqvarna dealer. I've only seen one set up like that and so far I am not impressed.

The local Huscavarna dealer said they don't get any of those because it means stocking a different kind of blade. I would not have gotten this one except it was reconditioned and at the time a really good deal. Dealer here said they thought I could use regular blades as it still has the star underneath. Wouldn't work due to clearence with mower deck. The little plastic covers are held on by 2 springy plastic things, not impressive. If my covers fall off again I may just run without them. Easier to change blades by pullig deck out. On regular blades it only tookk me a few minutes. you are right not at all impressive and Sears calls it their "Pro System"
