Kohler Engine

I have a New Holland GT22A 2006 garden tractor with a 22 HP air cooled Kohler engine.Is this engine still made,or is there a new version? Are there any differences in a Kohler Command engine vs. a Kohler Command Pro engine? I am having trouble getting an engine manual for reference. My engine has a horizontal shaft.

It would sure help if you gave us the model and spec. number of the engine. If its a Kohler Command, usually there is an engine available that will work.

That tractor was built by Toro. Most like it's actually a 21.5 HP CH640-3154 engine which is just a Command (same one used in the Dingo).

Can say if this still holds true on the newer engines. But a good indicated use to be..

Command Pro = Black oil dip stick.

Command and Courage = Yellow oil dip stick.

You can probably get a manual from "Jacks Small Engines" in Maryland.

Google "Free Kohler Service Manual Downloads" to find your service manual, all the engines produced are listed.
