I have a fairly new, lightly used Husky rear tine tiller that does the job of preparing the seed bed, but it also "does me in"! It is a struggle to keep the durn thing from not sagging into the nearby tilling soil, tipping and or only taking a half swath. It is a 17" w/ plenty of hp, but struggle with the handles, tromping down the freshly milled earth.
I had when I was younger, stronger, a 24" with an 8hp Briggs, also rear tine, a real snorter, but it did the same thing nearly tipping over, so I had an extra pair of wheels put on...duals and that helped a lot. Unfortunately the engine wend bad and I could find and electric start replacement.
Now this newer little Husky has such small wheels, I don't know if I can "dual" them.
What do you tiller-users do control those rear-tine units? Leo
