My neighbor and long-time JD tech says my old 260 lawn tractor needs a fuel pump. I went to my local dealer and got the listed part, AM109212 for the Kawasaki FC540. It's not the same as my fuel pump. Parts said there was a number change some time back, meaning the part probably changed too. Mine has a six-sided body, the new one has four sides. The hose fittings appear to be configured the same, but there's no way to attach the new pump. Does anyone know of a source for the old part? Thanks.

Thanks for replying and checking on the part. I've got a really good picture of my fuel pump but I'm not savvy enough to post it. It has 6 bolts in the body and 2 flanges with holes to bolt to the motor. You are right, I saw nothing like it on Ebay. Any ideas for where else I might look?

if it doesn't look like this and come in a Deere/Kawasaki box then they've sold you some aftermarket replacement.
