John Deere X 520 electrical question

I have a 2006 John Deere X520 tractor. After sitting one week the battery went completely dead. Since the battery was original I decided to replace it. Before I connected the positive cable I performed a 12 volt draw test to see if there was an errant draw. There is a 7-8 volt draw withe the ignition key off. It jumps to 12.8 volts when I turn the ignition key on, which it should. When I unplug the console plug during the draw test it dropped to zero volts. Is this normal?

An amp/mil-amp read is more meaningful. I'm not familar with the X520 but even if it has things like radio, clock and such, amp draw shouldn't exceed about 50ma with key off.
