Wheel Horse D180

I just purchase a D180 for $175.00, looks rough but man this is cool little tractor. Has 3 point hitch and rear PTO. Came with a PTO drive roto tiller. Good tires all the way around. So it will only run when I pour gas in the carburetor. I have not found a fuel pump as of yet. Also cannot find any id numbers on the carb. I am thinking a kit is sure to be the fix. Any help would be appreciated.

Engine is apparently a Kohler K482.

Factory service manual is linked below. (.pdf)

HTH.

Some carbs need to be taken off and then you look around the flange. Number is stamped along there some place.

Well guys I was partially right, it was a fuel problem but not the carb. I found the fuel pump, it is mounted underneath the seat. It is the vacuum type, had to prime it. Then I changed the plugs and she fired right up. Its a little bit of thrill to drive, linkage is loose so it wants to run away. Three point is weak, possibly an oil and filter change will help that. PTO will not disengage. Something to tinker with. May sell it later.

I was going to add that I have that PDF file in my smart phone. Hide it in documents. All 137 pages of it. Very handy. Sure wish the Kohlers were still built like that today. My 10hp weighs over 100lbs.
