hello all,, my next door tractor killer,,has a older sears garden tractor with a twin onan that has a fuel pump on the carb that no longer works,,he wants to put a electric fuel pump on it,, any idea what pressure pump is needed and where to get one. i never swapped one out but i figure we have to gut the old pump to make it work! any help would be as always a blessing and i thank you for it!! john

I got one from EBAY, 1-4 psi. about $13. Working good on my B&S with same carb. On mine there was a spare terminal on the key switch which I wired pump to so it comes on and goes off with switch.

Hi, any universal 12V pump with 2 to 5 PSI will work, no need to gut the original pump just disconnect the pulse hose at the engine and pump and block the ports off. You can get pumps at most auto parts stores like NAPA Oreilly's or there's e bay

They sell good pumps(so far anyway) and they are cheep. Look at the JD pumps for $19.99.

B43/B48 was the most common used by Sears. You need a low pressure pump 1-5 PSI.You can still get repair kits for that pump. But they were not that good of a pump. Had a bad habit of housings breaking.
