10hp instead of a 12hp

So I found out that the John deere 112 I'm working on has a K241AS engine in it I thought whole time it
was a K301AS does it matter if there is a 10hp engine in it or is it fine to run?

As long as it can carry the load. Shouldn't be a problem.

The JD 112 had 3 different engines during it's production.

The Tecumseh HH100 was the original engine offered in the John Deere 112. It was used through 1972.

The K241 was introduced in 1969 as an optional engine.

The 12-horsepower K301 was introduced in 1972 and used through the end of production.

The 210's had the same K241 and ran a model 47 deck almost as well as the 212 did with the K301.
You should be fine.
