newer simplicity lawn tractor

I bought a Simplicity Citation ZTR because of the independent rear suspension. I have back problems and it does help some with the sudden hard shocks to my back, but it does not ride like a car, still has some roughness. Ferris also offers them in their ZTR line. Both Simplicity and Ferris are now owned by Briggs and Stratton. When I bought mine the spring suspension was only available in the commercial lines, but that was several years ago and may have changed since.

I have a Ferris IS 1500, 54", 27 HP Kohler Command with 4 wheel suspension. It is one of the smoothest riding Z turn mower built. I also have a Gravely 260Z, 50", 27 HP Kawasaki. I have had it longer than I have the Ferris and when I went looking for a new Z turn Gravely had stopped making the 260Z. So I went with Ferris.

I do not know how a Simplicity lawn tractor would ride or mow with a rear suspension. They are really to new to evaluate just yet..

I am still trying to figure out how a Ferris mows so evenly when all four wheels are bouncing over rough ground.. lol
