Thought I would post a recent picture of a Cub 1450 that I have been working on. Got the engine running on gas yesterday (needs a little ether coaxing still.)
The previous owner used this 1450 as the farm mowing tractor for many years. From what he told me he had recently had the engine rebuilt when the front PTO burned up and broke so he put it in the shed and got a new mower tractor. Well many years later I bought it from him and today it purrs again.
The carburetor had fuel still in the bowl that was green and foul. It took a hand scrubbing and three trips through the sonic parts washer to get the carb squeaky clean. I added the rear sleeve hitch and eventually intend to plow and cultivate a garden patch with it.
