Jack -
if you happen to see this post- What you have is definitely a Jaques Mighty Mite tractor, although its obviously been worked and reworked over the years. And based on what I can see of the rear end- it looks to be the standard Mighty Mite rear end- so specifically its a Mighty Mite model #10 (as opposed to the earlier Mighty Mite model MM that had a ford rear end in them)
What is nice- is that you have the original 13 hole seat pan and it looks to be in decent condition.
Sidenote- most Mighty Mites had a metal rod connecting the lever to the rear hitch, whereas yours had a piece of chain - I have only seen a chain connector a few times.
You can get a rough idea on manufacture date by: look on the left side of transmission, just below the cover plate there you will find casting date of transmission in: month, day, year. Add 2 months to that date to come up with approx. manufacture date of the tractor.
