Trash truck beat me to it!

Apparently my neighbor across the street put out a green and yellow(metal) rider mower for trash pickup. He probably put it out late last night or early this morning. Buy the time I saw it the trash truck was on the street. I could not see them load it from my location and was hoping they would not take it. I did see a front wheel shoot out about 10ft from the back of the truck during the compressing cycle. Oh well. I know I could have made a few bucks with it on Craigslist.

The trash people here will not pick any type of power equipment.

You can take it to the dump yourself. They place it all in an area off to itself. People can go through it and take whatever they want from the pile. I have gotten a few different Lawnboy self propelled mowers. If the engine is really bad (Duraforce or 4 stroke) I will just repower them with a good used Tecumseh or a new Kohler engine. Most I just stripe of good usable parts such as wheels, drive system parts, blades, cables etc and save them. Take what is left back to the dump.

I think my best find was a Husqvarna 365 special. $125 for a 372 cylinder kit and it was good to go. Added a 28" bar and have been using it for over five years now.
