Simplicity wheel weights

Hi,
I would like to find rear wheel weights for my Simplicity GTH-L - it's a 17hp and I want to install a snow blower.
I see wheel weights on Craigslist from Cub Cadet and Craftsman at good prices.
Does anyone know what wheel weights from other tractors will fit (other than Simplicity)?
Tire size is 23 x 10.50 -12

Thanks,
Mike

The wheel weights are pretty universal, except the Simplicity's with the axle sticking out through the wheel. A 12 in wheel is a 12 inch wheel. I think my plastic JD weights might even fit the older AC-Simplicity, if you took the centers out.

Almost all of them will fit your standard wheel.
Even the Sears plastic wheel weights for a twelve inch wheel will fit.
The weights for a ten inch wheel will not fit.

I have several garden tractors with that size and JD weights fit fine.

This is something that can be used and you can add or take weight in minutes. It uses 25lb. bar bell weights with 1" hole.

Thanks to everyone that responded.
This is a great forum to get information.
The adapter that uses the barbell weights is pretty clever - I assume that you fabricated it, right?

Thanks again for everyone's input.

No I didn't make the bar bell bracket . There are several places that make these and you can find them on EBay.

Wheel weights are great......however, you will get more "bang for the buck" by installing a weight box.
Weight behind the axle transfers additional weight from the front of the tractor to the rear wheels. At the same time, this diminishes weight on the front axle and makes steering easier. Snowblowers add a tremendous amount of weight to the front axle, wheels and spindles when the snowblower is lifted.
I used both wheel weights and a weight box when I had a snowblower and when I sold the blower I left both on which gives me lots of traction with my dozer blade.
BTW, you will find that a 2-stage snowblower, although much more effectiive, will be heavier than a single stage.
