Yes, there are 2 hydrogear transaxles on that machine. One for the right rear wheel, one for the left.

I am thinking those units are considered to be sealed units, not serviceable-meaning that you don't change the fluid or maintain them in any way. BUT I am pretty sure Hydrogear offers internal parts if you need them.

Yes they are made by Hydro Gear and you have two of them (left & right) as T.R.T stated.

Since you did not give the year or the exact model number. I will say that some of them are serviceable depending on the year and model.

Easy to spot if they are serviceable or not. Look for an oil filter in front of the axle (toward the front) between the wheel and transaxle.. Or on the rear of the transaxle tucked back into the housing.

Filter = Serviceable
No filter = Considered not Serviceable. I say "considered" for with enough research and knowledge you can find somewhere on the web on how to service them.. With the cost of a new one hovering around $1000 each. It pays to do some research.
