black or yellow deck STX38 interchange

I have a black deck STX38 that the deck is in pretty poor condition. I saw a yellow deck on CL and was wondering if they are interchangeable? Will also post on tractor tslk

From what I recall they are different.

I talked to the local dealer mechanic after posting. He was almost sure the decks were different. He said the tractors were quite a bit different also.
