I have a late 60s Garden Tractor. It's a Ford F140 I have a snow blower attachment on the front end.

It's a late 60s Ford single stage "Super 88" Here's My problem The 12 volt electric lift actuator has

Gone bad. Actually, the electric motor for the actuator fried on Me. I need You held to find a replacement

electric motor or an after market replacement. I have had absolutely no luck on My own. So I'm here to "Ask the experts".

I would seriously appreciate Anyone's help. Winter is getting closer, and I really need this part or whole assembly to get

Our 1/4 mile gravel driveway. South Dakota Winters are brutal when the snow blows across the fields and seemingly dump

right in our driveway. I'm a 61 year old Veteran and I really cant walk behind a snow blower like I use to.

So please, if You'd be so kind and help Me out I will be very, very grateful.

Take a look at Craig's list and e-bay for the old Jacobsen built Fords. Also look at the same era Jacobsen, Minneapolis Moline and White lawn tractors. Same tractors different options and colors. It might be easier to buy a whole tractor for the part(s) that you need and scrap or sell the rest of the parts.

The question here is whether or not the electric actuator on your tractor is unique. With no photos to go by, only you can figure out if there is one on e-Bay that could be used to solve your problem. You need to determine how much stroke your actuator has along with the overall length. Lifting power should not be a big issue because that blower likely weighs less than 200 LBS total and the actuator might have to lift half that amount. Go on e-Bay and do a search for electric actuators 12 volt and see what comes up. Trying to find a motor that will fit your actuator is likely a futile pursuit.

Try " Jacks Small Engines" In Maryland. Very computer friendly as well as by phone. They have almost everything you can think of in small tractor parts and their accessories.

There's a picture of that system on the GTT website: XXXhttp://gardentractortalk.com/forums/topic/56293-ford-yt-electric-lift/XXX
That looks like a fairly standard actuator and lift mechanism. As a bonus, the same kit was used on lawn tractors. Others have noted that Minneapolis Moline, White, and Oliver also sold that Jacobsen built tractor.
You might find such a thing on ebay or one of the online companies.
If you get desparate, you could attach an electric winch to the back of the tractor and route a cable through the tractor frame.
