Fastening magnet to flywheel, wiring digram

Wondering what to use to refasten a magnet to the flywheel. Also looking for a wiring diagram for a Massey 10 with a gear drive starter. Thanks

I would suggest a good high quality epoxy. I used some years ago on a brake band on my JD 110 still holding today. I forget the brand but I bought it at a NAPA store.

I used JB Weld on a Tecumseh several years back. The magnet on that engine was on the inside of the flywheel so centrifugal force pushed it against the flywheel when running. Therefore, nothing special was required to hold the magnet in place. JB Weld is available in most hardware stores.

ONE other thing. The JB weld is great and will hold the magnet with ease. You must put the magnet back on the right way around! They point North South North South and will be an even number. When that baby is spinning the plus minus of the magnets is how it charges.
