JD x540 switched power

Does anyone know where I can tap into the wiring on a John Deere x540 to get 12 volts (for an electric fuel pump) when the key is turned on?

Does the engine have a conventional ignition coil to supply high voltage to the spark plug/s? If so, then the + terminal of the ignition coil will provide the switched 12 volts you need for the fuel pump.

Thanks Tom, I have an electric pump coming tomorrow for my Case 444 with a Kohler engine.
That sounds like an easy place to hook it up.

A mechanic friend told me that the yellow wires under the dash of the x540 are for accessories. I used a test light to find one that was live only when the key is turned on.
