David Bradley walk behind

I just inherited a David Bradley walk behind tractor and know little about it. The hood is missing, but everything else appears to be intact. The engine is loose but not running. Where are my best sources for information and any parts I might need. Are there still implements for it that can be found. This one has the cultivator and disc. Thanks for any help.

It might never had a hood depending on model, The size and mage engine will determin that. The 2 1/2 - 3 horsepower models had hoods, the 5.6 horsepower model did not due to size of engine. Does it have a slow speed kit or a reverce gear? Without the slow speed kit they are too fast for some of us to walk behind.

Getting harder to find all the implements since many have been long since scrapped out. That said I have all of them. Sickle bar mower, plow, disk, harrow, and cultivator plus the tractor it self

It has a Briggs and Stratton engine, but I don't know which one. I will be home on Friday and have more details at that point. Thanks for the info.

Only ones I have ever seen with a true B/S engine where when the old engine had been replaced. The one I have had a B/S engine on it when I got it but I also had a true D/B engine so I put it on

Here's a good site for information on DB tractors and implements. They made many models of tractors and a whole bunch of different attachments. Hopefully your tractor still has the metal ID tag that should have a number starting with 917 that you can use to determine your model. If you click on a model number it brings up the operator's manual.

Many brand-new David Bradleys came with Briggs & Stratton engines and were tested at the Nebraska Test Institute.
Test # 456 in 1951 - 6.2 cube Briggs tested at 1.5 max horsepower.
Test # 729 in 1959 - 14.1 cube Briggs tested at 3.9 max horsepower.
Test # 730 in 1959 - 14.1 cube Briggs tested at 3.8 max horsepower
Test # 731 in 1959 - 7.75 cube Briggs tested at 1.7 max horsepower

I junked six of them last spring when I moved out of NY. I tried to give them away with no takers.

Just for giggles I went on that site. Get a load of the hauling card third generation. High wheels, brakes, the works ! I wonder how many of them are still around?

There used to be 3 or 4 DB sites out that, maybe 10 years back. Keep looking, they may be archived somewhere.
