My BIL has a old John Deere lawn tractor that has a 15 horse Kohler engine I think a type c. Well?!?!?! It went up in a cloud of blue smoke over the weekend and we were thinking of taking it apart to see just how bad it is on the inside.. I went online to see what a overhaul kit would cost but all I can find is a type a and a type b. The lawn tractor is probably 25 years old or older , has anyone heard of a type c? If all it needs is a cylinder kit and valves would it even be worth rebuilding? He don't take care of anything he has, all his lawn mowers sit outside year round. I don't mind helping him out but he needs to learn to take care of his toys. :roll:
