Information need on Porter Cable mark 26 yardmaster mower

Hello, as this is my first post on here i hope this is in the right place.I have what i believe to be a Porter Cable mark 26 mower.I was told they were built in the late 50s early 60s.I need to know, what model B&S engine they came with? I have not found the engine hood where the model-type -code #s are stamped.I think they are in the parts boxes i still need to bring home.I'm going to a big swap meet on Mon & Tues and thought i would look for missing parts.I will need a parts supplier for the mower and where to find a manual for it.Thank you for any help and advice.Rick :?: :?:

Rick,

I used to own one, and mine originally came with a Lauson vertical-shaft engine.

Thank you Jay for the reply.It seems they had more then one type of engine.My grand father bought this in the late 50s.It still has the original engine on it.I know mine has a B&S engine,i just need to find the engine model so i can hopefully buy the parts at a up coming swap meet.The engine hood is still in a box somewhere.If no luck from here,i will wait till i find all the parts to get started.Rick
