Does anybody know the correct carb for a B48M. I found a motor and carb but they were not connected and I'm not sure its the correct carb. It's a DD-11 carb.
The motor runs great up to 2900 rpm but wont go any faster, plate says 18hp at 3600rpm. Doesn't matter where I put the carb adjustment screws it just wont go any faster. If I unhook the governor linkage and manually speed it up, it will go to 3000 but any faster and it starts spitting and sputtering.
I'm wondering if the carb is for a smaller motor. Can it be the correct carb but be jetted wrong for this motor?
I'd dont know much about Onans and would love to get this motor running better.
Any other suggestions would also be appreciated. I've replaced the coil, points, condensor, plugs, plug wires, cleaned and rebuilt the carb and fuel pump, checked the intake for leaks, it has 120-125 psi both cylinders. I'm at a loss.
