Hi,
I'm looking for a gear drive pulley on a Jacobsen Chief 1200. The part number is 218013. Its a single pulley that fits over the gearbox. If anyone has one or knows where to get one It would be greatly appreciated.

Is there something special about it that it can't easily be replaced by an off-the-shelf sheave, or a sheave blank that you can have the shaft bore custom machined in?

Try Stamm sales in Washington Kansas. Or Clint Stamm in Washington Kansas. His son used to part those mowers out.

FYI Bob: That pulley is dished to fit around the gearbox. There is a special gearbox that reverses the rotation of the pulley from the engine so its right direction for the Peerless transmission. (The engine mounts with the carburetor to the rear instead of to the front like most side shaft lawn tractors, such as Deere and Wheel Horse, so the drive belt rotates the other way.)

I wondered about that.

Still, I would think one could easily be fabricated if an original can't be found.

I've worked on LOT of older stuff and have often had to make parts as needed.

Hi Bob, I've swapped in some modified pulleys before but this one is a little unusual like t.r.k described. Here is an image of the transmission. the pulley is on the left side. Its kind of dished out with 3 spokes that connect the hub to the belt groove. The one I have looks like it was cast.

Thanks for all the tips.
