john deere 314 pto clutch coil

I have a 314 john deere mower and the electric clutch coil is bad can someone tell me where i can buy one or is it best to buy the whole clutch assembly . Thanks for any help , Scott

DEERE still supplies the coils.

You have to know which clutch you have to get a COIL, but the complete clutches interchange.

Warner clutch coil has a more or less square/rectangular backplate, part # AM36066, at about $238.

Ogura clutch coil has a trapezoidal backplate, part # AM38624, at about $130.

Typically, they can be found on ebay, as well, and new and used complete clutches.

I'm sure some others will chime in with aftermarket suppliers and part numbers.

You can buy a replacement clutch from Amazon on line and it is made so you can replace the bearing. It is a billet made type of clutch and is a lot better priced than the OEM. I have one on my L X 172 mower now. The clutch is U.S. made also. The company that makes them is in Florida.
