Backfiring on Kohler CV25 on Great Dane ZTR

Last summer my teenage son was mowing with our Great Dane Chariot zero turn (powered by Kohler 25 HP CV25 engine). It started to backfire very strongly while mowing, and then quit running. It would crank but had lost compression on one cylinder. On removing the heads, a valve seat had dropped, bending a pushrod. Replaced both heads including head gaskets. The engine started up and ran good, except that when the 61" deck was engaged it would backfire sharply and did not have normal power. Checked everything over, and found that the spade terminals on the power wires to the ignition coils were both loose. Replaced both terminals, and now it runs 100% again. The backfiring was caused by the coils not getting enough amps to fire consistently at high load condition. The unturned fuel/air mixture was exploding in the muffler causing the backfire and original damage to one head. I posted this in hopes that it will help someone else troubleshoot this problem in the future.
