Right angle box gears

Couple of months ago Got an old New Holland 48" snow blower, in cleaning up noted that it was a bit rough in places when turning PTO input shaft by hand. Anyway I found that the gears were missing some teeth. JD model 49 snow blower may use same gearbox (different shafts). Does anyone know if these are the same gearboxes as used on mower decks & other attachments? Input shaft gear 20 teeth output gear 30 teeth .Thanks . NEED A SET OF GEARS!

If you can't find them, check with Martin Sprocket & Gear. They should be able to match them up. I would go with the hardened teeth option.

You can buy them ready to install or with blank pilot center, then have bored and keyed.

Yes it is wonderful when people "replace" a shear bolt. Also those shears are SOFT bolts. Sure hope you can find new ones. Check out the other replies.

Have no idea if they are the same, or not, but here's a parts breakdown of the gearbox for a #49...

Thanks Bob, its a bit more than I want to pay -will keep my eyes open for a used set, Someone advised that the JD model 33 tiller has same gears so will be busy making sure that gears interchange
