My father (83) has a Simplicity 738 Broadmoor with a 1600343 tiller that he uses in his garden. A neighbor gave this tractor to him about 6 years ago and it had a B&S 195702-4520 8hp replacement engine in it. While in town for Easter he told me that the engine blew last fall. Loud rod knock. I have searched B&S and other small engine web sites for a replacement engine and they state no replacements available?
Anyone know of a replacement that will fit? What he needs most is the tiller. If we can't find an engine we are ok with buying another tractor that we can put the tiller on but we would need to know what models the tiller will fit. A larger model would be better as that was a lot of tiller for that little tractor but it did a great job. Thanks in advance for any help and information.
