No start Kohler

JD with a 25hp Kohler. Always started until yesterday. Now turn the key and just a click. Battery is full. Where do I start looking?
 
Clean all battery connections until they're shiny then see if the engine will turn over. Use a hydrometer to check all the battery cells. Should
be in the 1.260 or better range. If one cell reads very low buy a new battery. Hal
 
Take the battery out and charge it. Batteries typically have a 3-year service life before needing attention. Before charging fill the cells up to the full mark. Clean the cables and batt terminals with sandpaper. Find the ground cable where it connects to the frame. Clean and reconnect, tighten at the frame. Tighten down positive connector when battery is charged.
 
Also a possible is the start solinoid. As others have said it can be a whole load of flies in the ointment. If you hear a click when you turn the key that can mean the copper disk in the solinoid is shot and not making contact. depending on the type of starter, "Nipon Denzo" You can have a hung up bendix lever. Take some photos so we can figure it out. Different engines have totally different set ups.
