murray mower

I took a Murray 46300B as down payment on a old truck I was selling, pretty much sight unseen, it's pretty rough around the edges (everywhere)but I might fix it if it's a worthwhile project.
Any input about this machine is appreciated, is it the same/similar as another mower.

not sure about that exact model but those are a throw away unit when new,,, run them a few years then junk them,,, hope you did not allow much for it, see them sell at auctions here for a couple hundred at best and that's if they are still pretty nice shape, seen rough ones not get a 25.00 bid

I have a free 1996 46901X192A deck was shot , no maint done to it , needs new tires or tubes , stuff on e-bay , crags list

I bought one last year at an auction for $2.00[two]dollars and drove it on my trailer. Murray tractors don't have much resale value.

Thanks for the input, sounds like I made ANOTHER fantastic deal (I'm kinda famous for em). I lose money on every sale but make up for it in volume.

Curious about the Briggs engine,When I entered the code/model/ type, it came back Husqvarna?

Murray does not seem to have much value as to price but they will run and mow grass for a long time,
I have two of them , an 1985 with 11hp Briggs that has not been overhauled and has about 2000 hours on it.
The other one is a 1997 Yard King (Murray built) with 19HP Briggs twin. I think yours has 19hp Briggs twin and 5 speed manual transmission that is trouble free.
Parts have not been a problem at all even tho Murray closed up shop years ago.

This is just part of info for you engine. 42 Cubic inches. vertical shaft built it 1992.
On the Murray Owners World website there is a chart some place that should tell you who retailed your lawn tractor when new.

Yea it is year, the month, day, and production line. Briggs has done it for a long time and is very handy.
