Re: MTD tractor year

Jay
It has a Briggs & Stratton (twin) 12.5 HP, 4 speed standard, 44" deck.
I only need 4 wheel bushing for the front wheels. 3/4'Dia. spindle, 1.25" wheel opening.

That is a 3/4" Dia. wheel spindle, wheel opening for the bushing, is 1.25" ID overall length of bushing is about 1.165, bushing flange is about 3/16" thick and 1.5" OD on the one I measured. I need 4 of these and I'm not having any luck finding them here!
I even tried MTD support in the US, and Canada too, they do not recognize that serial # at all. A 1985 MTD Legend series, Model 834-327 shows the bushings as part #27 but, does not show a MTD part # for #27, Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I got some great help!
These wheel bushings are MTD part# 941-0312.
They probably fit quite a few of the wheels with a 3/4" spindle.
I would like to find the correct manual for my tractor!
Thanks all
Brian

Brian,

Thanks for the pics. It's probably an early-mid 80's model.

Years ago, I purchased replacement wheel bushings for an MTD from Jack's Small Engines....see link below.

I'll look through my MTD literature. If I have anything on your riding mower, I'll let you know.
