Hi there! I'm wondering if anyone could tell me the value of an antique Montgomery Wards Garden Tractor? I'm not sure which model it is but
I've included pics of the tractor and the original manuals front page. Any help given is greatly appreciated. It was my grandfathers.

The old walk behinds are neat machines but unfortunately they don't have a lot of value, yours would be worth some probably because of condition and the rider attachment.

I would like to add that being in such nice shape make sure you do not sell it to some idiot. Hope that a collector shows up and you can see what his collection looks like. Give it a good home. Best place is go to a couple of small engine shows and get some connections. There are a lot of guys out here that would like to own it so don't give up hope. What area are you in so someone can respond.

well, it looks in good shape for its age. Daddy gave me a Simplicity 2 wheeler when I was in my early teens and I gardened with it. We still get it out once a year to bed sweet potato slips.
Location makes a difference as far as value. Lots of stuff I see for sale here near Charlotte, NC is priced higher than I see in other locations on the internet.

My grandfather used it to farm about 2 acres of land. It's been housed in a shed keeping it from the elements. Sorry for cluttered picture. I wasn't able to clear out the area at the time of the picture.

I brought two to a equipment auction last year for my neighbor. I warned him NOT to. He had both in the family since new with all paperwork and attachments. Got $50 for one and $25 for other at MacFaddens Auction in Sharon Springs, NY. I rarely see 2 wheel garden tractors of the vintage hardly bring anything. Kind of shame, but it is reality just the same.

Do not spend much time or money on one I did a David Bradley and having trouble selling it looks and runs hos cultivator ,Land plow, grader blade sickle bar excellent its on New Hampshire photo adds right Paul

May 6&7 there is a swap meet near Jones, Mich. at Boot Hill Ranch. I've enjoyed going there many times and bought my Jacobsen built White lawn tractor there. I'm hoping to go again this year. I have driven all the way from Ypsilanti for a day but hope to have my pickup camper there this year.
Rather than being limited by local advertising, people come from all over. Check it out.
