john deere 332 mower deck

is it possible to put the 60 inch mower deck on the 332 and what is all needed to accomplish this? does the gear box drive from the front or the rear????

I don't believe the 60 will fit. there is more than one 60" deck available from JD, one drives from the front (older 400 tractor) and one for the rear (newer 425/255/445 and others). I know the last won't fit as they are shaft driven from the transaxle. The other one doesn't appear in any fitment info I can find for 318/332/322 chassis.

It won t pull a 60 inch deck even if you could get one to fit between the front and rear wheels. I can say this because I own a 332,318,430,455 and a F-932. The 60" just pull hard.

I have a 400 that plays with a 60" deck with a 19.9 HP engine and a 322 that plays with a 50" deck with an 18 HP engine.

So I'm gonna venture to guess the 18 HP 3-cyl Yanmar in the 322 would do at least an adequate job of running a 60" deck, if it were possible to sneak one under the tractor.

A neighbor had a 318 with a 3-point 60" mower and got along just fine with it 'til a couple of years ago when he traded for a "zero spin".
