Kohler Magnum 20 flywheel?

I have one magnet that has come dislodged from the inside of the fly wheel from a Kohler Magnum 20 engine. There are a total of six magnets. It has been suggested to use JB Weld to re glue it to the flywheel.
I do not know which direction the magnet was when removed, top or bottom???? Does it matter in this case? If you refer to my pic. of the flywheel, I am assuming the magnetic poles are 180 degrees opposite. Three magnets with red tape on flywheel. Three magnets that are blue tape. Can someone explain to me if this assumption is correct?
Thanks

I have expoxied magnets to the inside of flywheels and found it to be a lasting repair.

I think you will find the magnet poles are inside to outsde rather than end to end. Therefore, the magnets work the same, either way they may be installed. To verify, probe the gaps between the installed magnets - all should attract or repel the pick up tool in the same manner.

Okay, it appears only a small amount of adhesive was required when new. I will clean the area with lacquer thinner and the mating side of the magnet. I hope this all works, the grass will need mowing soon.
Thanks
